Alamo - Maria Castro 58, passed away on Saturday, February 14,2026 at her residence in Alamo with family by her side. Mrs. Castro was born on September 7,1967 to Luis and Margarita Castro in Rio Bravo, Mexico. She is survived by her sons Jose Berrones, Ursel Berrones, John Cedillo, Jared Cedillo and Jaime Gonzalez, daughters Marissa Berrones, Edna Berrones, Celeste Castro, Emily Cedillo and Ruby Cedillo, Mustika Cedillo, brothers Jose Luis Castro Bazaldua and Raul Castro Bazaldua, sisters Margarita Castro, Maria del Socorro Castro, Gloria Castro and Rosa Maria Castro, 22 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild. Viewing will be held on Thursday, February 19,2026 from 4pm to 9pm at Amador Funeral Home 1201 E. Ferguson Ave in Pharr. The family will have a prayer service at 7pm that same evening. A chapel service will be held on Friday, February 20,2026 at 10am at Amador Funeral Home in Pharr. Burial will follow at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Dimas L. Amador-Funeral Director at Amador Funeral Home in Pharr.
